What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is a soft tissue implant consisting of tiny microspheres of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) which is naturally found in the body. It is combined with an aqueous gel (made of carbomethycellulose, glycerin and water). This material is biocompatible (not harmful to the body) as well as biodegradable (broken down by the body).

How long will the Radiesse treatment last?
The effects of Radiesse can last up to a year or longer. However, treatment results will differ for each person. Touch-up treatments may be needed to maintain the desired effect.

What makes Radiesse different from other fillers?
The distinctive feature of Radiesse is that it provides both immediate correction along with
longer lasting duration. The aqueous gel delivers the immediate correction while the CaHA creates a matrix for collagen production allowing for longer lasting results.

Is Radiesse safe?
The material is identical in composition to the mineral portion of teeth and bone, thus it is inherently safe. The material has been used for the other medical applications such as reconstructive surgery, ENT, maxillofacial surgery, dentistry and urology. No allergy skin test is required.

What can I expect following my Radiesse Treatment?
You will experience an immediate correction. The most common side effects include temporary redness and swelling at the injection site. Slight bruising may occur and typically resolves in a few days.

“The best thing about Dr Roberts is that even though I want more injections she wont just inject you to take your money. She is honest and wont let you go overboard. She takes her time and explains the procedures. She is sensitive and treats her patients like priceless artifacts. I look forward to seeing her several times a year.
